GENERAL DESCRIPTION FOR ORGANIC SHEA BUTTER, WILD CUTTING
The color is creamy white to beige and the organic shea still has its very own smell of earth, smoke and savannah - just - not refined, not deodorized!
Organic shea butter is one of the most valuable fats for skin care and can be applied directly. The butter is obtained from the shea berry, usually called the shea nut.
In its country of origin, Africa, organic shea butter is used especially for the face and lips to protect against the hot desert winds. It is a very natural product that is suitable for many skin types. It regulates the skin's moisture balance, has a lipid-replenishing effect and is soothing. Shea butter can be used safely even on very sensitive skin. It can be used pure or in combination with other oils. As an additive and natural consistency enhancer, it ensures that creams are smooth and easy to apply.
Organic shea butter melts at around 26 to 28 degrees Celsius and is therefore ideal for processing into ointments, balms and creams. Shea butter can also be used on its own without any problems.

PRODUCTION OF ORGANIC SHEA BUTTER WILD COLLECTION
Organic shea butter is obtained from the fruit of the karite tree. They are called shea nuts, although botanically they are considered berries. The flesh is removed from the nuts, which are then dried and crushed. The now brown mass is poured with warm water and kneaded until the fat and water separate. The fat that floats to the top is then skimmed off. When the fat has cooled, the end result is shea butter. It has a slightly yellowish color. This craft not only provides many jobs, but in Africa it is traditionally a task for women. Nowadays, there is also a machine-supported production process to make it easier.
UNREFINED/REFINED
Unrefined organic shea butter is completely natural.
CHARACTERISTICS OF ORGANIC SHEA BUTTER, WILD-COLLECTED
The smell of natural organic shea butter is often mistakenly described as rancid or musty. However, rancid organic shea butter has a pungent, sharp odor that is clearly different. Not everyone likes the smell of untreated organic shea butter. Some love the smell, others dislike it.
ORIGIN ORGANIC SHEA BUTTER WILD
Karite trees come from tropical Africa. They are found from West Africa to the Upper Nile region. They thrive particularly well in the savannahs of the Sudan zone, in Senegal and in Uganda. Shea trees grow at altitudes between 100 and 500 meters.
Shea Butter
Shea butter, organic, deodorized
This is slightly harder due to the deodorization, the melting point is slightly higher, free of natural odor and cream-white in color. This is often used when the smell of shea butter is not desired, on the skin or in mixtures. This shea butter is certified as a food and can also be used cosmetically (externally).
Shea butter “Nilotica”, organic, refined
This is naturally soft, and can sometimes be liquid even at room temperature in summer. It has only a very slight natural odor and is naturally cream-white in color. This organic shea butter is not a food and is used cosmetically (externally).
Shea butter “wild collection”, organic, non-deodorized
This is slightly softer than the deodorized variety, but not as soft as the “Nilotica”. It has a pronounced natural odor and a natural yellowish color. This shea butter is not a food and is used cosmetically (externally).
